ENTRANCE SYSTEM SELECTION GUIDE
1. Determine the distance between the inside edge of your pilasters as they will be installed on the
door jamb. (See Diagram A & B)
2. Locate the Crosshead & Crosshead/Pediment Combination Selection Chart . Under
the Pilaster Widths heading you will see the different widths pilasters available for your entrance
system. Each width column lists different door unit dimensions. Locate the dimension that fits or is
the closest to the distance between your pilasters. Typically you will go up to the next larger size. This
will usually result in the crosshead overhanging the pilasters edge slightly which is not uncommon.
Note There may be more than one pilaster width to work with your door system.
3. To select a crosshead and pediment that will work with your chosen pilasters width and door unit
dimension, Move to the right across tha page under the Crosshead and Crosshead/Pediment Selection
Chart. Note: The names correlate to a particular style Crosshead or Crosshead/Pediment Combination as
identified at the top of the page.
4. Locate the Pilaster Selection Chart and find the chosen width pilaster required for your application.
Select the style you desire and the height needed to fit your application. NOTE: Many doors have a
stoop 6" below the bottom of the door and typically the pilasters bottom will stand on the stoop.
Pilaster heights can be adjusted by cutting the bottom plinth. Some pilasters are available with a
loose plinth. See the Pilaster Selection Chart for details.
