PERFORMANCE TESTING MASTERGRAIN™ panels are independently tested and verified to meet rigorous performance standards across a wide range of climates and conditions. From energy efficiency and thermal performance to structural integrity and weather resistance, our doors are evaluated to perform reliably in real-world environments — including strong winds, windborne debris, and coastal moisture — making them suitable for use in some of North America’s most demanding building zones. These images and the linked video capture a forced-entry test of a MASTERGRAIN fiberglass panel with lite frame and glass using a standard double-bore lockset. Extreme impact and prying loads are applied at the latch and deadbolt to simulate an aggressive break-in. While the hardware and surrounding stile deform and crack under abuse, the fiberglass panel and integrated lite frame remain fully intact and seated. The glass does not shift or release, proving that the skin, core, and lite frame function as a single structural system, not just a cosmetic assembly. In practical terms, the test shows that MASTERGRAIN panels can absorb and redistribute severe loads without delamination, frame movement, or glass loss—maintaining opening integrity even when the lockset itself is driven beyond its mechanical limits.
